Both teams will look to get this series off to a winning start, with the India having a slight dominating.India kick off their tour Down Under with a three-match ODI series, the first of which takes place on Friday in Sydney. Both teams are almost full-strength, with Rohit Sharma being the only big-name player not to feature.

Aaron Finch will continue as a Captain Australia, with Pat Cummins serving as his vice. KL Rahul was named vice-captain of India's ODI side in Rohit Sharma's absence.


Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal will battle each other for a spot.

The game should be high-scoring if the pitch plays true to recent form. Teams batting first have win six of the last seven matches and the average first-innings total in that period has been 305. The weather is expected to be warm and sunny, with a high of around 24 degrees Celsius.
