He was a social leader.He united 562  princly state build the Republic of India. He played a key role in India's struggle of independence. So I will talk about the intresting fact about him. 

  • Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was not interested in politics but after meeting Mahatma Gandhi in 1971 he quit his job and Join independence struggle.
  • Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel advocated Swaraj or self- rule and organised peasant in Gujrat in non-violent civil disobedience against the British.
  • Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel worked hard for  untouchability, caste system, and right of minority and women.
  • His wife was passed away when he was only 33 year old, but he never remarried.When patel was given this news,he was cross- examing in the court even after this he continued his work. He told this news to others after the work ended.
  • The Statue of Unity stands on the bank of Narmada river.The statue is tallest in the world,the hight is182 meter and the cost is ₹2989 crores.
  • Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel awarded my Bharat Ratna in 1991. His grandson Gem Vipindayal Bhai Patel received the award.His  birthday(October 31) is celebrated as Rastriya Ekta Divas ( National unity day) every year.Sardar Patel took Operation Polo of the merger of Hyderabad.The nizam of Hyderabad refused firstly to get merge in India.

  • Sardar Patel was as a Home minister first person whom Indianised  Indian Civil Services (ICS) and made them Indian Administration Services (IAS).
  • Sardar Patel raised the issue of gurantee of payment "privy purse" in the Constitution Assembly. But that time his proposal rejected by congress.
  • Sardar Patel was very intelligent,he went to England for studying advocacy at the age of 36 and completed the 36 months course in just 30 months.
